The fact that MegExpressions purses are handmade makes them simple, personal, and from the heart.  The purses are designed to suit a variety of daily needs, and in doing so brings art into daily life.  

     MegExpressions started out of my desire to create things with my hands. With each purse, I enjoy the process of working with random colorful scraps to create a whole, functional product.  Each purse I create is unique, making the process a continual journey into the unknown.  I make all of my purses using my own original designs out of my studio in Portland, Oregon.  Each purse is one of a kind, and is made from recycled materials (except for zippers).

      In finding discarded materials to make a MegExpressions purse, I am making something when nothing conceivably was there.  This gives an appreciation for how little we need to make something great.  Additionally, through randomly placing scraps together to create an entire purse, I am creating wholeness out of brokenness.
